Our wonderful little smart has just celebrated its tenth birthday. And what a fabulous decade it’s been.

There are now over a million smart cars on the road worldwide. Including more than 2,000 smarts on Australian roads.

Recently, smart was awarded the TUV Certificate in Standards Design for the Environment – one of only 5 models to achieve this stringent classification (the other 4 are Mercedes-Benz models.)

And smart is the only car to be included in the permanent collection of the world-famous Museum of Modern Art in New York as a "contemporary design classic of the last decade of the last century".

Ten years of smart. Now that’s something to smile about.
